Education Abroad - Latest Fear Factor

Vidya Dadati Vinayam (education gives Humility, civility) a very famous Sanskrit lines tells us that humanity comes first in education. Now a days situations are quite strange, unfortunately we have to say education gives pain and taking blood.

It is too bitter but after the Australia violence going abroad for higher education is not a good option for developing nations, specially middle east Asia. Attack on some Indian students in Australia given fire to this issue that our people are not safe in abroad. Violence in other section of society are little digestible for some basic reasons but in the field of study where we learns that humanity is not bounded with the nations, territory or any wall like physical difference; violence degrading the social ethics.

Our appeal to the world that we have to give respect of our scholars like , Sir Martin Luther King, M K Gandhi , Abraham LincOn etc, they did great contribution to the humanity. When God is not separated us than why we are creating difference, every aspect on nature is as beautiful as God made it. We not need to fight with each other. Education is the basic right of every people and more than it every human being needs freedom. No body have right to spoil this freedom. Australian Violent attacks are shameful concerns for the humanity. To avoid it some social and administrative steps are much needed.

This photo looks like its from the archives of the Cronulla riots between the Australian and Lebanese riots in 2005.
Now the problem is between the Indians and the Lebanese.
I just spent this afternoon (today)with 3 Indian people (as I am a wedding planner) and I asked them if they felt Australia was racist, they laughed and said definately not, they love it here and are very happy to live here, so I asked them about what they thought is happening about the Indian students getting bashed - in unison they said it was the Lebanese.
There are some good truthful news links by another australian on - Students,No Vigilante action Please Australian Prime Minister.

I sincerely appreciate your efforts Lynne to act as a bridge between the two sections. In India as well, many people are saying that we should not form an opinion about a country as racist blindly. We all know that media exaggerates to some extent.

Rest weather they are Lebanese or Aussies, culprits should be punished.

The things are just too hyped by the media. I suppose it is the Lebanese looting the Indians. It is their birthright to loot Australians, Indians and all non - Arabs, non - Pakistanis.

Looking at the crime rate Lebanese have, I think reactions like Cronulla Riots are natural outcome. And sometimes I feel that is the language these goons will understand.

Anyways, Australia is a First World country and it is hard to believe the violent attacks on students, be it from Lebanese or Australians.

Anaeline, it was hard for me to believe in Australian Xenophobia. They are a First World country and need not involve into acts like this. Anyways, strange things happen.. I wonder what Australia could be without immigrants!!!

Yes the media do hype up stories and all the facts/truth are never told so for the sensationalism - people are misinformed.
Any culprit who abuses another person whatever nationality should be punished.
The two main groups in our jails are Lebanese and Aborigines who are fighting each other.
Some of the city bikie gangs are now run by the Lebanese who are into drugs and crime.
I don’t like pointing the finger at the Lebanese but its just a known fact here.
Its not the older generation of Lebanese people who have been here a long time - its the younger lebanese men who seen to want to live violent, corrupt and criminal lives as a way of life and they want to fight/hate everyone.

No one wants to say it aloud for being called racist.
Australia cannot be racist generally because there are too many different nationalities and some are racist against each other.
I just think if these young men want to fight so much then - deport them back to their own war torn country to fight it out.
We don’t need this crap here.

Thank you Lynne for conveying that people should not be prejudiced against any race or community as such. The truth is all these anti social acts weather terrorism, racial attacks or any other such thing is done by miscreants who in reality don’t do it with any noble motive like love for one’s race, religion or country. They are traitors !

Of course, who will teach third world students properly to much create competetiveness for themselves in the future???

On the other hand, too many students come for PR only-and they should know a reality in advance:

have you ever visited or lived in Australia? Find out for your self.

I live here and have lived in three major cities here, I have lived overseas and travelled to many countries and by comparision - Australia is by far the best in its attitude towards other nationalities.

I had coffee last Saturday with 3 Indian people whom I had never met before and asked them if they had experienced or thought that Australia was racist and they laughed and said no, definately not. They loved living here and were happy with their jobs and their lifestyle.
Every wwhere in the world you will find racism, but to say we are xenophobic is simply untrue.
We are the first to help out when a natural catastrophy happens around the world and its been known we give more per head to disasters than other countries do - regardless of race.
